Laura Smith is running to be re-elected as your Member of Provincial Parliament for Thornhill. Laura served as Ontario’s Parliamentary Assistant to the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, since she was elected in June of 2022.
Laura is an active advocate for the community, especially for youth and the elderly. She is also a champion against Antisemitism and hate and has worked with our government to help facilitate the tools necessary to keep the community safe
Laura understands challenges for families caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s and dementia and advocates for awareness around issues for both those suffering from the disease, as well as their families and loved ones.
Laura has proudly lived in Thornhill for 22 years with her family. Laura is a Director with the Thornhill Thunder Soccer Club and a former vice president of a local co-operative nursery school. She is an avid swimmer, soccer mom, and a dedicated volunteer.
